Chlorbutanol
Analgesic and Antiseptic Solution for Topical Treatment of Pulpitis
Properties:
Chlorbutanol is a preparation which combines the analgesic and sedative effects of Chlorbutanol with the antiseptic action of the other components among which the methyl salicylate is known for its anti-inflammatory activity.
Indications:
- Pulpal Sedative (in case of pulpitis), after dentinal treatment of superficial or deep 2nd degree caries
- Relief of pain after root extraction.
Directions to Use:
- As a sedative dip a cotton pellet into Chlorbutanol and apply directly to the wound.
- As a dressing dress the wound with a strip of gauze dipped in Chlorbutanol applied directly to the alveole, avoid exerting any pressure. Remove the dressing once the pain has significantly decreased or totally disappeared.
